Twentieth anniversary draws visitors from far and wide

A wonderful celebration marked the 20th anniversary of the opening of Burrowa House Hostel.

More than 80 people came from far and wide to help celebrate this great occasion.

It was lovely to catch up and talk about the planning and hard work that went into the construction of a facility such as Burrowa House.

Barry and Bob Whitty, builders of Burrowa House, thanked management for their invitation to celebrate the hostel’s 20th anniversary.

“It was nice to catch up with everyone again,” they said.

Boorowa Hostel president, Phil Armitage, in his written address to our guests paid tribute to the original board members for their vision and exceptional management.

Dawn Barton, Derrick Mason, Sam Beattie and Rob Gledhill acknowledged all those who were involved in the creation and fruition of Burrowa House.

Hostel supervisor Judy-Ann Stokehill would like to thank our dedicated staff who have cared for our residents, they do over and beyond their duties which makes it all the more special for our residents.

Thanks also goes to Rob and Jeannie Gledhill for the new landscaping of the village gardens.

A thank you to members of the Garden Club, John and Jo Snelling, Josie-Ann, Grant, Hamish and Claudia Stokehill, Neville Clark and Robert Gledhill for volunteering with the planting of trees and shrubs for the beautification of the the village.

Burrowa House would like to thank John and Chelle Gilbert and Hamish Stokehill for volunteering their precious time to mow and tidy the garden surrounds for our special day.
